Welcoming Francois de Beer: Bringing Passion and Expertise to Ongava

June brought more than just winter winds to Ongava, it brought a new energy to our Sales and Marketing team with the arrival of Francois de Beer as our Sales Manager. Francois joins us with a deep love for wildlife, luxury travel, and creating unforgettable experiences for guests exploring Namibia’s breathtaking landscapes.

A born Namibian, Francois took the first opportunity to return home after spending several years in South Africa. His journey in the travel and hospitality industry has always been closely tied to nature. The bush is where his career began, and it remains a place that holds a special meaning for him. It was never just a job, it was a way of life. The early mornings, quiet moments in nature, and the unpredictability of each day shaped his outlook and continue to guide him today.

At Ongava, our Sales and Marketing team is the bridge between our unique world and the guests who come to experience it. Francois steps into this role with enthusiasm and expertise, helping to craft journeys that are as immersive as they are memorable. A passionate adventurer with a deep love for the outdoors, Francois brings not only industry knowledge but also a genuine commitment to building strong relationships and connecting with people.

Francois works alongside our dedicated Reservations teams, including Margareth Mengo, Emilly Ndokosho and Ruaan Louw, whose combined efforts make every guest’s experience seamless and exceptional. Together, they are committed to delivering the perfect balance of adventure, relaxation, and connection to nature.
